Pizza fondue Recipe

This pizza fondue dish will undoubtedly delight a gathering; it is so inexpensive that we may offer vegetables or meats of our choosing. Make the pizza sauce and serve it with grilled or pan-fried vegetables and meats.

  • 1-2 tablespoons olive oil, or as needed
  • 1-2 onions, finely minced
  • 1 pound of ground beef
  • 2 (15 ounce) cans of pizza sauce
  • 10 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese, or more if desired
  • 4 ounces shredded Cheddar cheese or more to taste



Heat olive oil and saute onion in a skillet over medium heat until soft and translucent, about 4 to 6 minutes.

Step: 2

Cook and stir beef in a large pot over medium heat until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes; drain and discard grease.

Step 3

In the same pot, combine beef, onion, and pizza sauce. Stir in mozzarella cheese and cheddar cheese one handful at a time, stirring until cheeses are melted before adding the next handful. Ladle fondue into bowls.

The milk should be simmered for 1 1/4 cups. Stir in 8 ounces of grated mozzarella cheese, 8 ounces of grated fontina cheese, and 2 ounces of grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Whisk together 1 tablespoon cornstarch and 3 tablespoons dry white wine in a small bowl or measuring cup.

Why do you put cornstarch in cheese fondue?

A good rule of thumb is to use one tablespoon of flour or cornstarch per pound of cheese when making cheese fondue. Melted cheese should be shredded and then tossed with flour or cornstarch to thicken.
